Fantasyland
is home to the magical rides that the younger
kids know and love. These attractions are very
popular so the lines tend to be long, but the
wait is sometimes shorter while people are
watching the afternoon parade. It's a good idea
to miss the parade one-day and visit Fantasyland
instead.
Dumbo the Flying
Elephant
This was one of
Beth's favourite rides in Paris because just like
the star of the movie Dumbo these elephants know
how to fly. They take you on a short ride of
about two minutes high above Fantasyworld.
A button lets you control the up and down
movement of the elephant allowing you to pilot
Dumbo through the sky yourself.
The lines for this ride tend to be long, but if
you don't have to wait too long it's a fun ride,
more for the younger kids aged three to eight,
but also fun for groovy Dads with smashing legs.
Cinderella's
Golden Carousel
Definitely Beth's
favourite ride. You gallop around and around on
one of the 90 handmade wooden horses whilst
listening to such groovy Disney songs as 'Zip a
Dee Doo-Dah', 'When you wish upon a star' and 'Be
Our Guest'. You can never be too old for a
carousel.
The Many
Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh
A silly old bear
named Winnie the Pooh and his pink pal Piglet
take you on a magical journey into the storybook
pages of the Hundred Acre Wood in The Many
Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. A heartwarming
tale about Beth's favourite playmate and his
friends combines memorable music, surprising
illusions and fun for the whole family.
You hop aboard a golden "hunny pot" and
travel through a Blustery Day as howling winds
stir up a whirlwind of adventure as Owl's house
is blown down, Piglet is swept into the groaning
gusts and baby Roo swings from his tethered scarf
like a kite in the wind. Despite the windward
weather, Pooh is "bearly" bothered and
continues with his quest for honey.
Nighttime then descends upon the Hundred-Acre
Wood and hoo, hoo, hoo else but Tigger springs
into the adventure with a bouncy, trouncy,
flouncy game of hide and seek. The hunny pots
bounce along the darkened path chasing a
topsy-turvy Tigger to our favourite tune
"The Wonderful Thing About Tiggers".
The bouncefest leads to Pooh's house where he
stands guard over his prized honey into the early
hours of the night. The weary bear drifts off to
sleep and dreams of the dreaded honey-stealing
Heffalumps and Woozles as wacky glowing creatures
surround your hunny pots as you drift through a
silly dreamscape full of song and surprise.
As the story unfolds squall showers swell into a
storm and your hunny pot bobs swiftly along on
the rising waters and swirling whirlpools as the
Hundred-Acre Wood is transformed to a floody
place. Eeyore, Roo, Kanga, Rabbit, Owl and Tigger
form a rescue party to save Piglet from falling
over Floody Place Falls.
Meanwhile Pooh has taken advantage of the rising
waters to reach the top of the honey tree. A
happily ever after ending features a hero's
party, a colourful rainbow and the whole gang
safe in the Hundred-Acre Wood ready for another
adventure with Christopher Robin.

Ariel's
Grotto
There is a mysterious blue grotto tucked away
just behind the Dumbo ride. Inside Ariel, the
star of the Little Mermaid is waiting in her
grotto to meet you. Don't forget your camera and
autograph book.
Out front there are some water fountains to play
with so it's a great place to get wet when the
sun gets too hot.
Mad Tea
Party
The Mad Hatter puts you in a spin as you're sent
twirling in over-sized teacups, straight out of
the un-birthday party scene from Alice in
Wonderland. You control how fast your cup spins
by turning the big wheel in the centre. Beth
didn't like this ride in Paris because it was too
noisy.
Peter Pan's
Flight
I thought this was the best ride in Disneyland
Paris. You board Captain Hook's flying ship and
sail through the sky through scenes that tell the
story of how Wendy, Michael and John get
sprinkled with pixie dust and fly from London to
Neverland with Peter Pan and Tinkerbell.
Along the way you encounter Princess Tigerlily
and meet up with the evil Captain Hook and his
sidekick Mr. Smee, who are up to no good.
Near the beginning of the trip there is a scene
from London at night where the cars on the
streets really move and the streets have lights
running along them. Later on watch out for the
Crocodile who is trying to eat Captain Hook,
along with his rowing boat.
If Peter Pan is as good as the ride in Disneyland
Paris it will be groovy baby
It's A Small
World
The most annoying song in the whole world
accompanies you as you take a slow boat ride
through several large rooms where hundreds of
dolls represent children from nations all over
the world. There are Greek dancers, Japanese kite
flyers, Scottish bagpipers, singers, dancers,
soldiers and many more. There are even animals
from different parts of the globe, all set to the
inane elevator music of "It's a Small
World".
Snow White's
Scary Adventures
This ride takes you through scenes from Snow
White and the Seven Dwarfs. Some scenes are sweet
while others are a 'bit' scary. It is a very dark
ride and the wicked Queen seems to be around
every corner, dressed as the witch. (The dwarfs
don't show up much).
They say this version of the ride may be better
as the wicked Queen has taken a back seat,
allowing Snow White to claim her place as 'The
fairest of them all'.
Legend of
the Lion King
Continuous 25-minute shows (Monday to Friday from
9.20AM to 8.10PM, Saturday/Sunday from 9.20AM to
9.20PM.
Disney's hit movie comes roaring to life on stage
with Simba, Pumbaa, Timon and all your favourite
jungle friends. The show includes life-size
puppets, animation, music and special effects.
When the sun rises over Pride Rock, Mufasa and
Simba make their big entrance. As the story
continues the other characters act out parts of
the movie. Special effects like water mists and
wind make the theatre seem like a jungle, the
room even rumbles during the stampede scene.
