The cutting edge of
tomorrow- all that's new in science, energy and
health.
SPACESHIP EARTH
PAVILION
You can't miss the huge silver ball that is the
symbol of EPCOT. The Spaceship Earth ride is
inside this big, round building. It features a
trip on a time machine: Travel through time and
space within the 180 foot tall silver geosphere
spiral that guides you through the history of
human communications, with scenes of life in the
21st century's 'Global Neighbourhood'.
TEST TRACK
(Min height 40 inches)
Test Track is EPCOT'S fastest ride where you find
out what it's like to be a Test Dummy: The sporty
test cars travel on a track that's almost a mile
long. Your car has no steering wheel or break
pedals as you zip around curves, zoom down a
street and bounce on bumpy roads. At one point
you nearly crash into a truck.
A rare sneek peek into the safety, technology and
testing that General Motors puts into each
vehicle before it gets to a dealer's showroom.
INNOVENTIONS
PAVILION
Discover tomorrow's technology today at
Innoventions, a hands-on exposition of the
world's newest products and inventions.
Visit a house of the future, step into
cyberspace, test the latest developments in
computers and explore the breakthroughs in
virtual reality. (Play the hottest new Video
games!)
Innoventions is divided up into two showcases:
Innoventions East and Innoventions West.
FOUNTAIN OF
NATIONS WATER BALLET
The fountain at Innoventions Plaza comes to life
during the spectacular water ballet,
choreographed to music. Performed every 15
minutes.
THE LIVING SEAS
PAVILION
Your sea exploration begins with a short movie,
and then you get into a 'hydrolator'- an elevator
that goes in water. You descend fathoms into the
Living Seas, the World's largest aquarium and
marvel at thousands of species of Tropical fish,
dolphins, turtles, sharks and manatees whilst
exploring the incredible man-made coral reef.
Believe it or not, the hydrolator moves less than
one inch, even though it feels like you are going
way down to the bottom of the sea. After a quick
ride through the aquarium you enter an area
called Sea Base Alpha, where you can take a
closer look at the creatures and try out the
hands-on exhibits.
THE LAND
PAVILION
The building called The Land looks like a big
greenhouse. The attractions focus on food and
where it comes from.
LIVING WITH THE LAND
A picturesque boat ride that takes in a desert, a
rain forest and a prairie then heads to a
greenhouse area. Along the way you learn lots of
food facts as your tour guide explains everything
your boat floats past.
FOOD ROCKS
A musical tribute to nutrition featuring popular
musicians who have been turned into food and
perform old songs with funny new words.
THE CIRCLE
OF LIFE
(Located
in The Circle of Life Theatre)

protecting the Earth's environment, combining
animation and live action that explains how
everything is connected in the great Circle of
Life.
JOURNEY INTO
IMAGINATION PAVILION
This attraction is a tour of the imagination. The
Journey into Imagination Ride discovers how one
spark of imagination can trigger a world of
innovation. Your host is Figmant, a magical
creature who looks like a little purple dragon,
assisted by his friend Dreamfinder, they explain
how the five senses (sight, smell, sound, touch
and taste), send messages to the brain.
(Rumoured to be closing early in 1999 to be
replaced by another attraction).
THE IMAGE
WORKS
A hands-on and feet-on playground of the future.
The Rainbow Corridor is a tunnel with neon tubes
in all the colours of the rainbow. Walk through
it and you reach Stepping Tones where you step on
coloured lights to trigger different sounds.
The Magic Palette has a special pen and screen to
create images, and at the Electronic Philharmonic
you can conduct an orchestra by raising and
lowering your hands, and on the Making Faces
computer you can make yourself look really crazy.

(Located at
the Imagination Institute)
You won't believe your 'size' in this 3D
adventure. The shrinking ray fires and the chaos
begins, but this time you are the one who gets
shrunk along with the rest of the audience even
the theatre seems to shrink.
You get spooked by 3D mice, a lion and a scary
snake. Then one of the kids picks up the theatre
and carries it around.
LEAP FROG
FOUNTAINS
Outside the Journey into Imagination Building,
streams of water leap from one spot to another.
