Open daily from
10.00AM 'til 2.00AM, Pleasure Island is part of
Downtown Disney located between West Side and
Marketplace, and celebrates New Years Eve every
night. During the day Pleasure Island is the
perfect place to shop but when the sun goes down
the party starts, in the eight completely
different clubs.
You can choose from the COMEDY WAREHOUSE,
ADVENTURERS CLUB, PLEASURE ISLAND JAZZ COMPANY,
8-TRAX, WILDHORSE SALOON, MANNEQUINS, ROCK N'
ROLL BEACH CLUB and BET SOUNDSTAGE CLUB. Bands
perform nightly at the WEST END STAGE with
Pleasure Islands own dance troupe The Island
Explosion.
Admission is free up until 7.00PM as only the
shops and restaurants are open. After 7.00PM the
clubs open and there is a charge to enter
Pleasure Island, however this is included in a
Hopper pass.
Pleasure Island has its own live radio station,
PI LIVE that begins broadcasting each night at
7.00PM, whilst DJ's play tunes and show music
videos on giant TV screens.
Apart from Planet Hollywood there are several
smaller eateries such as the HILL STREET DINER,
which is a snack area that serves fast food such
as pizzas and hot dogs. Alternatively the ROCK
AND ROLL BEACH CLUB serves pizza either by the
slice or whole. D-ZERTZ sells coffee and sweet
things, whilst the MISSING LINK sells tasty
treats, sodas and snacks.
Shops include DTV; the Official Disney Shop of
Pleasure Island that offers embroidered T-shirts,
socks, caps, plush toys and the usual delights
you can find in the Disney Store. At MUSIC
LEGENDS you can but CD's box sets, posters, and
T-shirts featuring the greats of the music
industry, whilst at REEL FINDS-Hollywood Lost
there is a huge selection of movie memorabilia.
