THE FUNTASTIC WORLD
OF HANNA
BARBERA
Not only can you ride
the movies at Universal Studios, but at The
Funtastic World of Hanna Barbera, you can ride a
cartoon. That diabolical Dick Dastardly and his
snickering sidekick Mutley have snatched Elroy
Jetson.
You board your cartoon spacecraft, (whilst seated
in a vehicle in front of a large projection
screen), you jump on to the screen with Yogi Bear
and Boo Boo, The Flintstones, The Jetsons and
Scooby Doo and race to his rescue, whilst you
see, feel and hear what it's like to be inside a
cartoon, as your vehicle moves in conjunction
with the action on the screen.
After your animation adventure you get the chance
to create your own cartoon special effects in the
interactive do it yourself world of Hanna
Barbera. This is a great attraction but as it is
located near the entrance of the park, lines
build up quickly for it.
NICKELODEON STUDIOS
Nickelodeon
Studios is the largest production studio in the
world dedicated only to kids programmes.
Welcoming guests to Nickelodeon Studios is the
green slime geyser, a 17-foot mass of pipes,
gauges and tanks, spewing green slime high into
the air at various times of the day.
While kids wait for the behind the scenes studio
tour, they are kept entertained by videos and
interactive games throughout the queuing area.
During the tour you get an intimate view of new
Nick shows being made as you walk through the
glass viewing tubes that overlook the
soundstages. You can observe the actual sets, and
maybe even glimpse your favourite stars
rehearsing or performing on camera.
The final destination of the tour is the Game Lab
where kids, and adults, can test games based on
popular Nickelodeon shows. One kid from every
tour gets to fulfill the ultimate Nickelodeon
dream and gets Green Slimed. Some of the most
popular Nickelodeon shows that have been produced
at Universal include: -Clarissa Explains it all
and Family Double Dare.
UNIVERSAL
STUDIOS PRODUCTION (STAGE 54)
Universal Studios has
produced some of the most memorable films of all
time including Babe, Apollo 13, The Lost
world-Jurassic Park and Liar Liar. The legend
continues at Universal Studios, which is the
largest motion picture studios outside Hollywood.
You never know when you might spot your favourite
star, as you get a behind the scenes look at the
props, costumes, sets and special effects of new
up and coming movies, currently THE FLINTSTONES -
VIVA ROCKVEGAS.
