Tomorrowland began as a peek into the future, as the real world changed so did this land, so that now it looks like a city from a science fiction story.

Space Mountain

(Min Height 44 inches)

3…2…1…Blast Off for a super powered rocket-ship ride through the galaxy aboard an indoor roller-coaster ride with twists, turns and steep dips that all takes place in the dark, with the odd strobe flash. One of the most popular rides in the park but not as big as the Space Mountain in Paris.

The ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter

(Min Height 44 inches)

Find yourself in the middle of an experiment gone wrong during the most pee your pants you scaredy-cat thriller of all Magic Kingdom attractions.

People from another planet want to show off their new machine that can beam people through space, but all does not go to plan and an alien arrives and escapes into the audience instead. Once the vicious alien has broken loose in the darkened room it prowls and judging from its hot breath and slobbery gob down your neck it seems a little hungry.

The Timekeeper

A bit crap if it’s the same as the one in Paris. Travel through time with Timekeeper on a tour of the past and the future. A robot named 9-Eye takes pictures that fill the nine Circle-vision 360degree screens and during your journey you will meet famous inventors. A funny show with a wacky robot but not worth the wait if there is a queue.

Buzz Light-year’s Space Ranger Spin

In this attraction you are ‘Toy Sized’ and small enough to fit inside a video game shooting gallery. Your mission is to make the Universe safe for the other toys. Piloting your own XP-38 Space Cruiser you spin through scenes scaled down to the size of toys and battle the evil Emperor Zurg. Vehicles are fitted with a joystick steering mechanism and twin laser cannons. Along the way you shoot at targets to earn points, that means you can try for a higher score each time you ride.

Zurg and his robots are stealing batteries from all the other toys and plan to use them to power their ultimate weapon, so it’s up to you to stop them, Big Boy. The ride contains many special effects including smoke that creates an outer space adventure that takes you ‘to infinity and beyond’.

Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress

A very gay ride that shows how life has changed since 1900, charting the impact of technological progression on American’s way of living. At first there was no electricity, water came from a well and TV didn’t exist. This attraction shows how life has changed since then. The show is called Carousel of Progress because you move in a circle, just like on a carousel. You pass different scenes along the way that teach you a little bit of history.

GRRREAT! –NOT.

Tomorrowland Speedway

You can steer a real petrol driven car around a race-track, just like the one in Paris that Beth was doing great on until Mummy and Peter decided to stop to take a photograph from the car in front. You must be at least 52 inches tall to ride alone.

Asto Orbiter

This ride wasn’t working in Paris. The Astro Orbiter is at the top of the giant glowing tower in the middle of Tomorrowland, the Rockettower. In it you pilot your own spacecraft past colourful planets high above Tomorrowland. If you sit in the front you can control how high up your spacecraft goes. (Just like on the Dumbo ride).

Tomorrowland Transit Authority

The Tomorrowland Transit Authority travels past most of the land’s attractions so you can see what they are like before you decide to ride them. This is a good place to rest aboard the ingenious transport and you get to see a lot of Tomorrowland in a very short time.

Galaxy Palace Theatre

Home to the Disneymania show, (see park guide).
