Surf's up in this Tropical Water Park that looks like a typhoon has hit it. There is even a boat stuck on a mountain top. The massive inland surfing lagoon is like a small ocean surrounded by the most lavish tropical landscapes you can imagine, with an idyllic white sandy beach.
Every few minutes in the Typhoon Lagoon
Surf Pool, 6-foot waves are self-generated that douse everyone in their wake. This makes body surfing fun. Surf's up too at the Storm Slides (Min Height 48 inches), as you swish and swirl through dark twisting caves and tunnels as you rage down these body slides.
At Mount
Mayday you can shoot through caverns 30 miles per hour on two speed slides called Humunga Kowabunga, (Min Height 48 inches). For a calmer ride you can slip into a tube and float along the river at Castaway Creek, (Children must have adult supervision), for a relaxing trip around the park.
Also of note in Typhoon Lagoon is
Shark Reef, a diving pool where guests are invited to sport a scuba mask and swim across the surface of a coral reef which is home to nurse sharks, bonnethead sharks, leopard sharks, tropical fish and plant life. They don't mind when people swim in their tank, but are you brave enough? (You must be at least 10 years old).
You can't leave Typhoon Lagoon without sampling the three
Whitewater Raft Rides. You're guaranteed to get wet on Gangplank Falls, Mayday Falls and Keelhaul Falls. (Min Height 48 inches).
